Reading

I get on these spurts where I will read and read and read and read. Like there is no tomorrow. And then for 6 months or a year, I will stop reading. Unless it's a quick blurb online or some other news story from Yahoo! News. Right now I am in the reading phase.....

While on a trip over a long weekend earlier this month, I picked up a series by Karen Kingsbury and Gary Smalley... the Redemption series. Two of the five books, I read in one day (each). The other three were an average of it taking 3 days to devour the book. The series had various themes: forgiveness, redemption, questioning the faith after 9/11 and other tough issues of life and relationships. But the books always came down to trusting God.

I want to get more involved in writing about the books, but that will come in the days ahead.....

I'm.... baaaacccckkkk........

It is hard to believe it has been a year almost since last updating this blog. With all of the things that have happened, in a way I can see how I could have let this slip. My heart was torn into bits with anguish and bitterness a year ago... today isn't much different, though this time it's because of things I have done to other people, not what other people have done to me. The anguish I feel today is cleansing, the type of cleansing that can and does only come from God. A good anguish, the kind that I would give anything to turn back time. But forgiveness has taken place ~ now it is time for healing.

It is because of Christa Black that I have re-discovered this blog... all of her writing has inspired me to resurrect this. I have not decided if I will continue with this blog or if I will create a new one, but needless to say I'll be reflecting a lot more on a blog.
